A Sound Investment is a guarantee to a successful musical experience!
The following information has been compiled in an attempt to answer the questions asked most often by couples planning a wedding reception.
When will the Band arrive?
The band will arrive from one to two hours prior to our scheduled starting time and will be set up approximately one half hour prior to the contract starting time. During that half-hour, there will be pre-recorded soft background music playing. We do this as a service to you, in order to provided an orderly, attractive environment for your guests as they arrive.
Who selects the songs that the band will play?

Our songlist offers many popular choices for your first, parents, and last dances. We will gladly rehearse up to two special requests that are not in our repertoire if you will please

1. Provide us with a recording and sheet music for these selections

2. Return the material to be learned to us along with your various reception worksheet six weeks prior to your wedding date.

As regards general listening and dance music, we suggest that you highlight these songs on our songlist that you would especially like to hear and to draw a line through any songs that you would chose not to hear. ·We will be happy to accommodate your requests as well as the requests of your guests. Remember that our songlist is only a portion of the material we play. Please contact us prior to buying sheet music and or recordings.

How many breaks will you take and how long?

As we are conscientious about providing the maximum amount of time for dancing, we customarily take only two breaks during four hour reception. The dinner break is the longest, lasting from the time that approximately one third of your guests have been served their main course until the catering staff has cleared the tables

This break usually is twenty minutes. If it is your intention to provide meal service for the band, we suggest you arrange with your Maitre D' or caterer to serve us as soon as feasible, this will allow us ample time to eat and to return on schedule. The next break lasts approximately fifteen to twenty minutes and is taken just prior to the final full hour of dancing.

Will there be music during the breaks?
We always play pre-recorded music on our breaks. While we have a variety of CD's on hand, we will gladly play any CD's of yours. If you wish, at no extra charge, we will D.J. the last break.
Do we have to provide meals for the band?
We greatly appreciate this courtesy, as we are often driving, setting up, and or playing during mealtimes. Often, when the cost of a full meal is prohibitive, many facilities will arrange for a smaller repast or the band. Either is appreciated.
